During my recent romantic escape to Fuengirola, I found myself at Apartamentos Turísticos Yamasol, and I have mixed feelings about it. While the location was a definite highlight, being just a pleasant 10-minute walk from the picturesque promenade with its myriad shops and restaurants, the apartments themselves could use a refresh. The service was warm and welcoming-something I cherish when traveling. The apartment, while equipped with a kitchenette and working air conditioning, had that slight musty aroma that reminded me of previous guests. Thankfully, the staff promptly changed the bedding upon request, proving their attentiveness. My favourite spot was the charming private terrace with a delightful view of the lively avenue. Just imagine enjoying a morning coffee there! The pool area, although shared, was tranquil enough for a lazy afternoon under the sun. If they spruced up the decor a bit, it could transform into the ideal retreat for both families and couples looking for a cozy getaway in beautiful Andalusia. It's a quaint place that scores high on location and staff friendliness, but it could use a bit of love to really shine.
